Surveys Are Coming

In our last update, I said Surveys were expected to go out on May 20th. Some of you may have noticed that it is now May 31st, and Surveys have not been sent. These last few weeks I have been hit with illness, increased work load at my day job, and some very nasty weather. I've been working to ensure the Surveys will be comprehensive and easy to use, which leads me to the announcement:
We've paired with BackerKit!
If this is the first time you've Backed a campaign that uses BackerKit, don't worry - this doesn't mean any additional steps on your part. What is DOES mean is that I'm able to offer you Surveys that are much more intuitive than the built-in Kickstarter system, a Help Desk team for when I'm personally unavailable, and the options to add items to your order that you may have missed during the campaign. Regret passing up on that mothman patch (or one of our other neat additions)? No problem, because now you can add it to your order when you fill out your Survey!
Working with BackerKit has meant re-doing the work I already completed on Surveys, but the process has been quick and you should see a email next week asking you to complete your Survey. Until then, if you have any questions, feel free to message me.

We're Funded! Here's What's Next...

Thank you all so much for helping us bring Local Haunts to life! With your support, we raised $13,430 to be put towards the publication of Local Haunts Anthology. Your support has been overwhelming, and if I don't fully articulate how thankful I am, know that it's because I've been rendered nearly speechless.
We have a lot of things left to do before these books reach your hands, so allow me to break it down here.
Surveys
I plan to have Surveys go out on May 20th. Surveys are obviously important, as we will use your answers to collect shipping details, add-on purchases, commission specifications, and whatever else is needed to ensure you get all the goodies we've got lined up. Please get your responses in as quickly as possible.
Books
Currently, the book is about 75% finished. We have most of the completed stories and are just waiting on a few more to come in before compiling everything into one file and sending it off to the printers. Everything is on schedule to be handed over to our printers by the end of May.
Commissions
I will be collecting all necessary information concerning commission tiers during our Backer Surveys and forwarding it to the artists. It will then be the artist's decision if they want to contact you further for more information or clarification. Please note, commissions will not necessarily be sent out at the same time as your other rewards.
Other Rewards
Patches, stickers, art prints, and postcards will be sent out at the same time as physical copies of the book.

We're Fully Funded!

I woke up this morning to some wonderful news... We've reached our goal!!
Allow me to say thank you, on behalf of all the creators behind Local Haunts, THANK YOU! We have poured so much into this book, and it is truly wonderful to see so many people are excited to read it. We could not make Local Haunts without your support. We're extremely grateful to you.
Now... what's next?
Stretch Goals
After careful consideration, and with a little over 48 hours left to our campaign, we have only one stretch goal. From the very beginning, I wanted everyone who participated in this anthology to be paid a fair wage. Local Haunts would not exist if not for the amazing writers, artists, letterers, and colorers that have worked on it.
That's why if we reach $14,000, each creative team will be paid a small bonus on top of their prearranged page rates.
Once again, thank you for your continued support! We're so excited to share Local Haunts with you.

Wow! Thank you all for the support you've shown us so far. We are incredibly grateful.
As promised in our previous update, we're now going to share a look at the extra gifts we plan to give every Backer (starting at the Incorporeal Tier) after we've hit 50% funded.
Cibby Acosta has donated a Digital Bundle (worth $20) featuring 2 mini monster comics and 2 cryptid sketchbooks.
Normally $5 each, these digital downloads will be added for free to every Backer tier as our way of saying "Thank you," for your continued support.

Thank you all so much for your support thus far. We are currently about $2,000 away from being fully funded, with just 4 days left to reach our goal.
As a sign of thanks, Cibby Acosta (writer/artist of "432 Abercorn" in Local Haunts) is donating "I Talk To Ghosts," a minicomic zine about horror and spirituality. This zine will be available to all pledges of $25+ (retail tiers excluded.)
Remember you can always add to your current pledge by going to "Manage Your Pledge" on our campaign.
This zine, along with all our other rewards, will only be made available if we are fully funded by May 4th, 10:00am CT.
